Some attorneys will only take a new case where the client’s conduct is exemplary and commendable in every fashion, where the facts, which comprise the body of the case, are clear, undisputed and not open to interpretation and the body of law, which applies to the case, is settled and static.  This is NOT how trial attorney Gaba sees things.

Attorney Gaba understands people who are immersed in legal matters, most particularly marital matters undergo immense amounts of emotional stress, anxiety and angst.  Because of this intense emotional stress, a client before she (or he) has retained the legal services of Attorney Gaba, may have engaged in conduct toward their estranged spouse which is profoundly uncharacteristic to the prospective client’s basic character.  Trial Attorney Gaba will accept a new client who brings along with them a troubled past.  Attorney Gaba represents and defends those who are in need of legal guidance, vigorous, continuous and ongoing legal representation.

It is common for Attorney Gaba to BOTH represent her new client in the domestic relations branch of the court AND also represent her client on matters of domestic violence, criminal stalking, illegal drug and alcohol usage/consumption, criminal trespass and other misdemeanors and felonies in the criminal branch of the court.  Attorney Gaba and her office staff are there to help.

Attorney Gaba accepts cases where the alleged facts, particularly regarding young children are disputed, contested and open to interpretation.  Where necessary, trial attorney Gaba will take facts patterns to trial to allow a judge (or magistrate) to sort through allegations and find the truth in events and circumstances, which took place.  Attorney Gaba and her office staff are there to help.

Trial attorney Gaba accepts cases where new and original legal precedent may need to be established by the court on the trial level.  On several occasions, attorney Gaba has taken new, novel and hitherto unknown legal circumstances to trial judges and asked that the court break new ground in determining the legal rights in family law cases.  On those occasions where the trial court does not grant a satisfactory decision, or has accepted attorney Gaba’s understanding of a theory of the law but has not extended it to the full dimension requested by attorney Gaba, she will take the case to the appropriate District Court of Appeals.  Because attorney Gaba believes in her clients, her own legal skills and concepts of law, she will (where appropriate) petition to the Ohio Supreme Court to consider new principles of law.  Trial attorney Gaba has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court regarding spousal support (alimony).  Attorney Gaba and her office staff are there to help.
